Misfits were good, when Danzig was with them. After that, blah. Good punk is Prong. I love prong in so many ways. They are just kick ass all around.

can you give us an example of "prong" ive never heard this. If the mars volta is prong. I want nothing to do with it.

Although i was the first person to ever get at the drive in and i loved them but i hated sparta, mars volta, and any other side project ripoff

:D J'adore the Angry Samoans. I had no idea anybody else liked them...I used to be really into the Dead Kennedys. Not so much anymore since my friend's cousin's band did instrumental covers of their work. Blech. :(

Prong is from the late late 80's and into the 90's, I'm not sure though if they are still together. I think they just had another album out within the last couple years. I don't know. I have some of their older stuff and it just kicks so much ass. I don't know what to use as an example. Its definatly not as good as The Mars Volta (which isn't a side project ripoff, its absolute genius). Its got sort of a thrash/speed metal (very light influence of this)/punk sound. I don't know how to describe it better.

prong is more industrial metal than punk, they are alright... an its not hardcore... they need a new singer, and possibly a better drummer. I hate minimalism.
