i just baught one of their cds (the curse) and its really good from start to end. i would reccomend it to anybody whos into heavier music. what do yall think about them?
my buddy Jimmy really likes them. I don't think i've ever heard any of their music, but i really do think i should check em out.
listen to them if you wish, but please do not call them emo... i know none of you have yet, and thats a good thing... congratulations. hardcore kids would beat your ass if you called arteryu anything-core in front of them... but thats coz they are assholes.
Yah... prolly rock Most scene kids do suck. Especially hardcore kids. They are too busy kicking the shit out of people to make good music (although I do like some hardcore bands, and regularly attend their shows, most of them suck ass... and i cant stand all the kids who think they are badass coz they are "hardcore")
Hardcore kids cry at night and cut themselves. But, I really dig that band. I have one of their albums. I loaned it to a friend though.
you are thinking of emo kids. Hardcore kids get pissed off at everything, and hate homosexuals with a deep passion... they beat the shit out of anyone who thinks they know what "hardcore" is... and if you do drugs, they will usually beat the shit out of you for that, too..
The emo kids here morphed into hardcore kids... so they're all the uber Christians who hate drugs, sex, and alcohol but wear all black and listen to crappy music (I've been to one of the local hardcore concerts and I've never heard worse crap in my life). Atreyu is ok. I'd like it better if they cut it out with the screaming.
I was joking about the cutting remark. lol My friend and I have a running joke. Everytime we say something remotly rude we always say: "Awe, I'm going to go cry little emo tears, cut myself and listen to Radiohead."
I've got both Atreyu CD's. The are pretty good. My buddy and I played a lot of their stuff from the first CD....which I enjoyed more then the new one. I know someone wil be upset if I call them emo....which I'm not. I just think they sing about a lot of "my girlfriend hates me" shit which kind of gets played out after a bit. Also....they said fuck Black Sabbath and Metallica while they were on the Ozzfest and that they were more into Bon Jovi, hence the cover on the new CD. I guess that is where the whining about girls comes in. I would recommend Avenged Sevenfold if you like Atreyu....I find them to be much better. Also check out Between the Burried and Me for a rockin good time.
Oh and I got the new Mars Volta CD today. It is really the first I've ever heard of them....and all I have to say is this CD kicks ass.
