I'm having a problem finding the script, too. I'm in a production of it right now, and I want to get ahead and memorize stuff ahaead of time (Lyrics that weren't in the movie, and the like), but, alas, I'm scriptless.
I went to see that show recenty, in a big theatre ain Amsterdam. Really a great musical. Even more than 35 years after it's written, HAIR still manages to impress. It was one of the main stimulants for me to find out more about the hippy lifestyle, and eventually become one. Here's a link that provides much information regarding our beloved musical: http://www.geocities.com/hairpages/index.html. It has the lyrics, and some contact information for the copyright holder of the musical, the only way to get a full script, according to the site. "Rights to HAIR owned by: Tams-Whitmark Music Library, Inc. 757 Third Avenue New York, New York 10017 (USA) Phone: 1-800-221-7196", the site says. So my suggestion would be to contact these guys. Cheap or free, I don't know.
