I hear ya..I stayed in a motel in Lebanon once. In another room, someone got shot or there was just some heavy gunfire. Not sure what happened..but within minutes, cops were everywhere around the place. Needless to say,we left right about then Something strange about that town....
Well they are on there way now. We took them to Sandusky yesterday. I think they caught a ferry to Peelee Is. last night. Can't wait for an update.
Nope, we didn't...Now we are in Leamington, Ontario. Getting ready to figure out where to get to next....

Hey all, now we are in Niagara Falls, Ontario.. thanks for the good wishes and support. I will give a better update once I actually get somewhere where we can use the internet for a while instead of a few minutes. W-Man, I took down the phone number that you posted, thanks....Hairybuckeye....DON't you read your E-mail???? The "Irish Hobbit" did great on the water, both times. Peace -B
This sounds pretty cool. Do you guys have a destination or are you just going where the wind blows? Either way, I wish you luck, good times and safety. Peace~
right now, we are kind of just going from place to place based on things like the weather, and whether or not a place sucks REAL bad like Niagara Falls, NY,..Niagara Falls, Ontario is really cool, but don't mistake the two. At this moment we are in Buffalo, NY, wanting to get out of the "city" area and on to some more peaceful surroundings..Last night we stayed in N. Falls and actually ran into a cool dude at a bar who hooked us up with good ole "Mary Jane", but other than that, N.Falls, NY ain't really worth stopping in ...We literally walked from one end of it to the other, only to find out that we really went the wrong way... Well, until next time
you should wander towards old wolfs place,, im sure he could use some strong young bucks backs for a day or few...
I didn't have time to read this whole thread. Just wanted to wish you guys luck and congrats on having the balls. I do what you're doing just about every year for most of the year so if you have any questions fel free to ask. You also might want to check out digihitch.com for any how to info you need.
i coulda told ya that iffin ya had only asked before hand...,,, future warnin to all who go to NF... always go to the canadien side of them never the us side.. there is always wassaic n ithaca that are places to go in ny too,,, n i got an aunt that just bought a farm near the pa ny border,,, they may need or enjoy a couple of folks helpin n shit iffin yas git in a pikkle
That's so strange that you said Ithaca, dilligaf, because now that is exactly where we are at. It's alot nicer than Buffalo and NF, thats for sure, but shits alot more expensive! Pack of cigs here (marlboros) $5.59!! in ohio, $3.20...The area is really beautiful though. And, now the weather is good too. The reason we left Ontario, is because everywhere we went was rainy, so far in NY its been nice. Right now, we are actually trying to decide what to do next. $$ is getting lower and lower by the day, and although we have been extremely lucky in that dept. so far, the time is coming when we have to find a way to earn more. We would love the opportunity to do farm work for a couple days or so..I think we might be hiking toward the Pennsylvania border too, not sure right now. Hippiehillbilly, Im not sure where oldwolf's place is, are we near it in Ithaca?
roflmao... well since yer in the general area,,,, letchworth state park and gorge is not far from there,,, tis what we ny'ers er exx yankees in my case call the grand canyon of the east... ,,, is really one of the prettiest places in ny... here is the ithaca ecovillage info.... may be an opportunity there for a nite or few and maybe helping out ,,, Ecovillage at Ithaca (607) 255-8276 318 Anabel Taylor Hall Ithaca, NY 14853 here is the farm/community in wassaic ny,, name is bill... dont know much more than that about it...518 398 1337 and old wolf is i believe the geneva area of ny which is basically the finger lakes region,,, tween rochester n syracuse,,, not more than a few hours drive either ... the only way one can get directions to old wolfs is directly through oldwolf,,,, just send him a pm and he is good bout gettin back in touch... if you really find yerselves in a pickle get ahold of me and i can call my auntie and her man tis down near ithaca and pa border,,, they may be able to use a couple hands for a few days too,,,, good luck, have fun and be safe,,, n iffin we can help with contacts holla at us,,, luv n lite, hhb n dilli
Thanks alot....like I said, not sure of our next move, but I think we may be heading out of the finger lakes region, continuing with our tradition of wandering...One thing we have figured out though is that sometimes planning comes in handy. I would have to say though that if I was stuck somewhere in NY, I would rather it be a place like this (Ithaca) than where we were when we crossed over from Canada. The state of NY has some extremely beautiful country around these parts. Ontario was pretty too, it's just that alot of it reminded us of Ohio. The town of Leamington was really cool as far as locals and businesses and things of that nature...One thing I want to know though, how the hell did Tim Horton's become so popular there, I mean there were places that had two of them per block in Ontario. We have one right outside of Lebanon, OH but that was the only one I ever seen. (Tim Horton's is a coffee/donut shop....big corporate conglomerate) Over-all, we have had an enlightening and adventurous time, a welcome change from selling gasoline to crack-heads!!!
