No matter how enlightened you might become, or how at peace with the universe you might be... people still pretty much suck.
HA, yea, in fact the ones who claim to be so enlightened can actually be more annoying than a soccer mom.... actually I take that back, nothing can be more annoying than that!
Amen. In fact if you come across as having more peace of mind than some people they start acting like you owe them some so they'll try to take it away from you.
I was just thinking about individuals, but I guess humanity kind of sucks, too. I'm gonna start a new thread about different types of people who suck.
i dont agree, i dont think people suck completely...i mean everyone has faults, problems, etc but i think on the flip side there is good in everyone too. i guess you just choose to focus on the negatives.
I usually don't. I mean there are a lot of people I like, and I can see good in most people, but I'm an animal lover and a nature lover and I care about social justice, and every day all around me I see tons of people who couldn't give two shits about animal cruelty, or about the destruction of our planet, and who seem to care about little other than their own selfish wants. sorry for the rant.
i could stand on a cliff and look down at hordes of all the people and feel love for all of humanity while happily eating a cream cheese crepe, but if i had to walk down and stand in the middle of them, mucky and sweating, and observe all the idiocy and uncompromising ignorance, i'd take the pessimist's view of people frinkin' suck! in conclusion, i believe that one's view of humanity, be it optimistic or pessimistic, all depends on where you're standing. ...lol that reminds me of something i once read, "it's easy to love a stranger, but very difficult to love someone you know."
you took the literal side of the statement lol. literally, standing on the mountain would be ignorant. im talking about the mountain of enlightenment
Yeah! I actually almost like people after I spend a cpl days in the woods by myself, especially if I know I can go back in the woods when it wears off.
