I'm a HUGE Fleetwood Mac fan. I definately like Stevie better with them versus her solo career. They're awesome live, as well..probably one of the best shows I've ever been to.

I love the stuff with Peter Green. I have a live CD of theirs which is onew of my favourite Blues CDs. Some of the later stuff is OK, not my cup of tea really.

I'm actually listening to a Mac show now from Seattle 1970.. One of the last shows with Peter Green I think..

Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac are one of my favourite groups, I absolutely love Pete's playing. Definite case for best white bluesman if you ask me.. Their debut album from 1968 is a classic of British blues!

I also love English Rose and Then Play On. Also, there's a great live set out recorded at The Boston Tea Party 1970.. Pete's playing is awesome on these LPs!

It's great that he got back playing again!

Is that albatross song one that Kyuss covered? They did a song called albatross, and since I'm not exactly a Fleetwood Mac fan, I was just wondering if its the same song. I doubt it, but who knows.

umm... I guess I mean I like retro stuff... not 50s retro, although I do like it... but I really dig 60s psychedelia and the music and the art and fashion... its a big part of my life.... so I guess I mean a 'retro groovy girl'...

"Then Play On" is clearly their classic...

before they were too much blues oriented without much originality (xpt a few songs) but with "Then Play On" they really were in progression...they were startin' to walk in their own landscape...

I'm often thinking of fleetwood mac recordin' a few more album with this magic team ,the connection Danny Kirwan-Peter Green were really promisin' ...they were really in competition (with led zep or the stones in late 60's and early 70's) to be the biggest rock 'n roll band...if only they recorded together more than 1 precious album....i've got a lot of regrets when i think of it...

Indeed! Although I DO like SOME of Stevie's solo tracks. But yes, the original Fleetwood Mac is awesome.

i was privilaged to catch Greeny live a couple of yrs ago he's definitly still got it as a guitar player .
the original Mac were indeed far better than the horrible pop/rock shit they became post Greeny
