My birthday is in less than a month, and I don't care that I'm no longer 7, I want a freakin' pinata! Anyone have some basic instructions that they can recommend? Thanks..

My son just made a pinata in school this week for cinco de mayo. They used the tried-and-true method of blowing up a big balloon and then covering it with shredded newspapers or tissue paper mixed with flour and water (or you could use commercial paste/glue). Make sure to leave a spot at the top uncovered, where the balloon is tied, so you can fill it with candy/toys and hang it. I think it works best if you do several layers and let them dry between. Then the fun part: decorating it to your heart's content!

    Hope that helps!
