I'm interested in maybe getting my undergraduate degree at a school in Canada. I'm told there are some excellent schools, but I haven't really dived into researching.

I'm looking at schools either in British Columbia (Vancouver) or Toronto. So if any of you have any ideas I'd appreciate it very much.

    Thanks,
    Nick

I'm biased, but the University of Guelph is pretty cool. It wasn't my first choice, but the school has a program for almost every interest you may have. It has a diverse student body filled with the hard core hippies to the cowboy farmers.

Montreal might be a great place to consider, McGill was my first choice when i applied, i didn't get in, but i applied in a bad year in general for school.

It depends on your goals, SFU has good criminology, robotics, and social sciences programs, UBC has good engineering, physics, and medical sciences programs. I hear McGill is good for computer programming. The level of excellence in most of our Universities is high, and I know that SFU and UBC have huge foreign student populations despite very high tuition rates for them. For more job skill and trade qualification courses, BCIT is good.
UVIC is good for sports, and its location is hard to beat.

The obvious choice in Toronto is the University of Toronto.

yeah, UBC is pretty much world-renowned and SFU has a lot of good programs and instructors. UVIC is great for environmental sciences and living on Vancouver Island is a quite a bit different from living in Toronto, uncomparable really! It definately depends on your interests but BC (Vancouver/Victoria) is a GREAT place to live and go to school.

Ya I wasn't saying they are similar. It's just that I love the west coast and have been to the pacific and I've been to toronto once and enjoyed that city. Does anyone know the tuition of any of these schools and information on whatever.

If all goes well I'm going to UBC this year. Tuition for me including housing will be under 10 thousand dollars.
