Hey everyone, I have a question about my experience. I'm a pill virgin, at least when it comes to opiates. Anyway today I took two-just two-hydrocodones. I took it on an empty stomach. None of my other friends were feeling it (they're virgins too) but I felt dizzy like the world was twirling. I felt like doing nothing but lying down. After that I had the urge to cough and that lasted like 15 minutes. I coughed up a bunch of stuff and I didn't even know I was sick. After that I broke in the most annoying damn thing I ever felt. The itch. My whole body itched and I scratched and scratched. My face broke out a little and I had blood on my arms. Why did I get such a bad reaction? I give up on opiates if all it does is irritate my lungs and skin. Thanks for reading.
well, I would say that if you want to go for it again, eat a small meal before hand. Sit back and relax, don't try to do anything strenuous. Opiates make me itch too. oyu have to try to not scratch because the more you do, the more you'll itch and the more you'll have marks on you later. If you still feel sick and you break out again, don't do anymore opiates.
off TWO VICODIN? were they 10mg or something? you shouldnt have even felt it. i wouldnt do ANYmore opiates.
Actually, after my tolerence went down, I get high from 1 and almost sick from 2 if I haven't done it in a while. I don't think for a newbie that is that low of a tolerence, especially if they were tens, you know? I used to have this super huge opiate tolerence when I was younger and after i quit using, my tolerence went down and stayed down. I don't take more than 3 vicoden now, ever.
i take like 5 5mg vicodin and dont feel anything damn pills i was asking if they were 10mg cause thats a GOOD dose.
so I'm thinking that next time you wanna eat some vicodins you should at least drink a glass of milk to coat you stomach you propally wont get sick and for the itching you are haveing an allergic reaction to codeine
This is really not an unusual reaction to Vicodin. The first few times I used it, I got the itching, and the dizziness too, and I am certainly NOT allergic to it. If it was just body itching, it was just the opiate histamine release (which is quite normal) if your mouth, tongue or throat was itching, it may be a problem. Opiates really should be taken on a full stomach. But nausea, especialy if you aren't used to it (and you really don't want to be "use to" Vicodin, unless you have a medical reason to be, as it can be quite addicting) so you may be nauseous every time you use it. Opiates also reduce your ability to cough and clean out your upper airway, so aspirating vomit is a real possibility. Please be careful. Remember this drug is in the Opiate Family, along with everything from Imodium to Propoxephene, to Codeine to Morphine to Heroin.
immoduim? the shit medicine? it's an opiate? I've never taken it, Better out than in, so I wouldn't know.
If I was gonna do an opiate the lowest I'd go is 40 milligrams of oxycodone, that's how you get high.
Hey thanks for the replies everyone. The itching finally went away, I'm glad. I would try it again though, maybe later on. For now I'll stick to weed. Oh yeah I know I should be careful with this stuff. I come from West Virginia, and pills account for most of our crime.
Hydrocodone? you can get a great buzz and a little itch from hydro but like 2ce said if you want to get high lol your going to have to blow or swallow or chew up some oxycodone i would go with an oc 40 to start with i like the 80's though : )
First, I am against ppl thinking oxy and hydro are all 'cool' laughing shits and giggles. Something to play with and be cool and all. This massive recreational use of prescription pain meds are putting doctors at a great paranoia in being audited. Thus the prescription opiates are very difficult for those of us with Chronic Pain who NEED them. For many people who suffer from chronic pain (pain that even with Oxycodone, Duagesic, and Morophine combined does not relieve all of the pain. So while every one person out there is getting 'High' off opiate pain meds there are prob. 3 people suffering needlessly over the controversery. Yes either way opiates are addicting both in theraputic legitimate use as well as in recreational use. The Theraputic use is monitored my a physician (if you can find one) to adjust the tolerance of opiates according to brand and type... The only problem with the popular abuse of opiates is no one ever really stops to think about things like a hairline fracture and or emergency surgery in which after becoming opiate tolerant they would not know about and in the end the undocumented recreational abuse could leave you in a hospital bed, not only going through dt's only in PAIN-- That is the part where karma comes rolling along as the PAIN is so severe, and now way out from it and the MD can not prescribe anything that would even come close to needed dose of relief as it would be unethical to prescribe the massive needed dose for your tolerance. I would predict in the years to come, there will be more oxycont. addicts standing in the Methadone Clinic Line vs. The Herion "Junkies" as called in a negative way for years. The new generation I believe will be Oxy addicts. So really think about how cool this is. Serious, would you be bragging if your were at the public library using the computer while homesless smelling of urine and bum? Say wearing now the same outfit whoever is reading this wearing only its 2 years passed and all you know....... Sorry made a commentary here only I am in pain and the meds are wearing off and it is almost time enough to my next dose and I am in pain WITH 3 Narcotic pain med's in me, of course which I have to keep under lock and key so the managemnet of building? Or the Repair guy or any one else for that matter working over these 50 Units may hear of me and my meds and use the key to get in and git high on my meds. Who are they going to belive? Me? Section 8 on Disability or Mrs Wisenhimer out getting her nails done and a hight she stole form me?
Itching is the most common side effect of opiates. Take an antihistamine about a half hour before taking an opiate and that should tame the itchies a bit. i get them everytime i take it.
