I had this cat called Midnight who was half death. The people who had him before did nothing for him really, I got him when he was a still a kitten, but getting older. Unfortunately, couldn't keep him out doors, he grew up coming and going as he pleased, you know? sigh if he would stay inside he wouldn't have died. Anyway, he didn't like anyone besides me and this woman who lived in our house (who was, interestingly enough, allergic to cats but suffered to play with this one because they where good friends). This cat was play ful as hell. One thing it started to do was catch mice... but not kill them. I don't know how it got that idea, but I assume it put two and two together when he saw we had a couple cats, gerbils, fish and a bird that, well we liked animals and we didn't like killing them... I don't know if Midnight understood or not, but this cat would sit right up at the TV waiting for five minutes until star trek came on. Every night it was on, he would wait for me to turn the TV. Now, there are other shows I watched regularly, this cat only did this for Star Trek (the next generation, the only good series). This cat was smart, it finally died though at the fault of, well, humans. We lived on a one way street, and Midnight was death in one ear. It liked to sunbath in the street. It figured if it looked the direction the cares were coming from, it wouldn't get hit. Well, cop car came down the road without sirens or anything on the wrong way. I had the cat for three years, I was sad as hell four a long time.
The dog I have now. I have had her for almost 10 year now. That dog has been through everything with me. I dont think I will ever have another dog after she goes!
My pupp Linda right now. She is my tail, she never leaves me alone, she always protect me. She my lil' baby., I love her so much.
I've love all my companion animals equally (aside from the fish, but it's hard to bond with them) but am definetly very fond of the rabbits. They are so much fun to be around and of course very cute. We've never officially said Branwen is my brother's rabbit and Casey is mine, but that's the way it's worked out. Now Branwen is sweet enough and very placid, which suits my brother. Where as Casey is more outgoing, happy to interact and doesn't cute little things. I love his bolder spirit and how he is always happy to see me.
I had a rat named Harpo. My parents kicked me out and I was living in a shitty trailer with no heat, water, and for the first 6 months, no fridge. I had no way to make money so I was pretty much starving. Things were pretty bad, I was reeaally depressed. Harpo was my pal who helped me get through it. He was the most loving creature. He would sleep in the bed with me. If I was really sad or crying he'd snuggle up under my chin. When he died my heart broke and I cried for days.
my current dog. she has been with me 7 years. I dunno what I would have done without her... She has been my best friend, a sholder to cry on, and just an allround GREAT dog.. she never runs away, she is the best.. I wuv her.
I had a Yellow Lab for 11 years. She would beg treats from a neighbor, drag into the house tree limbs longer than she was, wake me in the between 4:30 and 5am by jumping on the bed - laying on top of me - licking my face - it was her way to inform me it was time for breakfast. Unfortunately she became very sick at the beginning of spring. Last week I had to put her to sleep. Sometime late Summer or Early Fall I plan on getting another Lab.
it was a cat named Mitten and she was the runt of the litter...was slightly retarded. i loved her so very much then when we moved away from a house we couldn't find her. broke my heart and i haven't wanted to be close to a cat since then
my cat Hozy. i got him when i was 4 or 5 years old. coincidently, he was about 4 years old at the time. my mom got him from a friend who couldn't care for him and his sister, Mickey. But mickey passed away pretty quickly. but Hozy, he was the best. he was there to cheer me up. he was there to comfort me. he was there when i was happy. he was a great friend. he was pretty funny too: he would wait in the bathroom to get water from the bath room sink. of course, i obliged. and that became his thing to do. i'm surprised he didn't learn how to turn the water on and off. nevertheless, it was a great thing to watch him drink the water. he was getting really weak this past year. when i came home for spring break, he was having a real hard time breathing and walking. i was thinking of putting him down so he wouldn't suffer anymore. but before i had the chance to do that, he peacefully passed away. i was their with him, holding him as he passed away. it was hard to see him go. i have plenty of other animals in the house, but i don't think i'll ever be that close to an animal like i was to Hozy.
My two kitties I have now are my favourite pets not realy had any pets of my own I lost 2 cats last year (well they got out & ran away ;-) ) but my 2 now are soooo cute & soft
