See, I have been a hippie for some time, but I refused to really call my self one. I don't know, what if I got it wrong, you know? It was at the Fox Valley Folk Festival, in Geneva Illinois. I was wandering around, barefoot of course, and I had a long conversation with a guy who had a shirt that sad "Proud to be an aging hippie." We talked about his past, things he did. Talked about what it meant to be a hippie. Then he told me. "I don't care what people say about this "been there done that" shit. As far as I'm concerned, you are a true hippie." I guess I'm in the minority of people who think that is something special, but as long as everyone here is flashing back, I might as well say my peace.
We are what we are. But we have thousands of different perceptions of who we are coming from all directions. But no one knows you better than you. So just live man, be your own perception
you are too, mannn. just 'cause you don't fully subscribe to something doesn't mean that you're not part of it (or part it) besides, hippie: A person who opposes and rejects many of the conventional standards and customs of society, especially one who advocates extreme liberalism in sociopolitical attitudes and lifestyles. n : someone who rejects the established culture; advocates extreme liberalism in politics and lifestyle (you don't need to be politically active or preach about shit) and i know you would rather have peace than fight. "Hippies hate metal" is a straight out lie.
