You know those sticky seed pod thingies that fall from the trees in the springtime? Well, they stick to my feet and leave this nasty glue-like sap or whatever behind and it's *really* hard to get off. Anyone possibly have any suggestions for easy ways to get that stuff off? I had to scrub my feet with a pumice stone today to get the sap stains off.

You could try some rubbing alcohol or possibly WD40.

Being a plant person myself, I'd really love to know what kind of tree does that. Maples, cottonwoods? All the evergreens I live with here drip pitch on the ground, but it isn't everywhere, and barefoot encounters with this are infrequent.

Rubbing alcohol I keep with me for all sorts of cleaning (mostly on me, working outside) Serious sticky pitch problems can be resolved, (carefully!) with a dob of gasoline or lighter fluid on a paper towel. Safety is a problem, but it does dissolve anything that I've ever had a mess with

Well, thanks for the tips. I'll probably try rubbing alcohol before I try anything else :)

    Thanks.
