i dunno really, you don't get the big outdoors events like universe and that like you used to ( although i heard there is a tribal gathering this year ), it all moved into clubs around '94 time, and the rave scene kinda fragmented into lots of scenes as the music progressed - instead of having bukem play after easygroove after clarke after fabio in the main arena they all split up and had there own tents/rooms and in the end different venues and nights

i went to a raindance a few months back, all the old crew like top buzz and them lot, and a jenkins lane reunion room!! loads of mashed up kids, weird really. the club scene is very much alive, like drum and bass, especially in london. but as for an outdoor rave scene, not really - you still get outdoor partys now and then, but not like it used to be back in the day! ;) :)

brings back memorys of looking for this party once and getting shocked by some electric fence in the dark! finally found the right field, an hour or so later the police shut it down :( we stayed on and started up again about 5 in the morning, trying to outdo the techno tent with our deep beats!

ahh the good 'ol days :)

I agree the good old days were great.
All those illegal, abandoned warehouses and deralict buildings
were the biz. Organised venues in clubs are not really the same.
How many times me and my mates used to cruise around the
South West of England lanes in a convoy of cars, looking out for
them was just as good as the rave itself.

the forest of dean and the south of england is great for outside freeparties... last year there was a police crack down and so weren't as many... but generally you can find one every week end.. either in hampshire or brighton or anywhere really if you willing to do the travelling...
my mate ami is going away nearly every weekend..
there is a website call psychonaughts.com or something like that... and its a forum where all the free party goers and organisers post... wuite a good comunity by all accounts.. but i don't post there so i dont really know.

but yes.. the rave/free party scene is alive and well and happening all over the country...
but like thingy said.. its fragmanted into a lot of different scenes...
like drum and bass parties or techo parties, and my favoutire...psytrance parties!!!!

    so yeah its still about.
