What is the the one 'tool' that you just could not live without?

Mine would be my rotary (is that spelled right? rotery..rotary..ak! Why does that not look right to me?) cutter.....and my seam ripper.. lol

The seam ripper definitely....I do love my rotary cutter though, but I could make do without it if I had to. I would give up without the seam ripper.

Oh yeah if the sewing machine counts...no doubt. I couldn't go back to hand sewing, because I am also so impatient. Not to mention I just don't sew very well by hand :p

Hand sewing would be fine for making things here and there..but to try and make a living at sewing, you'd have to charge about $400 per dress lol.esp with detailed appliques!

Glass-head pins. I'm not really a person that likes to pin things, but when I do use them it's precision work that needs to be ironed. Tube turners are pretty sweet too.

Without a doubt, seam ripper, because my sewing machine is like Faerie stated above: it has a mind of its own!

it would have to be my serger, the first time I used it I huged it, lol. I used to double all my raw edges before, took three times as long, I loooove my serger.

Seam ripper is a close second though, my machine has a mind of it's own too, not to mention when my brain flip flops itself and I end up with half a dress sewn on backward, lol

Definitely my seam ripper. Than my rottary cutter and mat. I didn't even think about my machine, it's just an extension of myself so it doesn't count.

The most useful thing for me is my Grammy. :) When I can't figure something out or screw something up, she can help. She's the best! It is much harder now that I live 1200 miles away from her, but I always take a bunch of half finished things when I go to visit so she can help me.

I most definately couldn't live w/o my sewing machine but I have to have an iron! ...can't sew without one ...seen too many cute things look bad because the seams weren't ironed.
