Help!? How do i format my hard drive...i have a buggy porn icon on desktop!!!!!

Ok i am home alone and bf is comin over tomorrow....downloaded a bit torrent porn thing...now there is this weird install icon on my desktop and i cant delete it, rename it or move it!! help!!!!!!!! I cannot let anyone see this AND its lesbian at that!!! says its being used by another program but its not!!!!! What do i do??? if all else fails can someone tell me how to format my hard drive....omg im freakin out!!!!!!

Can anyone give me instructions on how to format my hard drive or get to the msdos prompt...or even reinstall windows xp....

 

when the machine starts up, itll say something like hit delete to enter bios. hit delete
change the boot sequence to boot from the cd first
then put the xp cd in the drive, and restart.
itll be straight forward from there
though, it may not be a good idea to do so if he has stuff on it that he doesnt have backed up
or if he doesnt have all his drivers
i suggest you dont format

if you insist on not letting him know, just tell him you were downloading something else, and it was attached to it. and download something else.
though i dont think you should be ashamed

 

Hehe well he knows i like queer as folk so i could tell him i tried to download that....and it was porn instead...oh and this is strictly my comp so no worries about anyone elses stuff thanks for the info!

 

Just delete it in safe mode. When your computer is booting up hit the F8 key a few times till you get the boot menu. Select the option to boot into safe mode. While you are in safe mode go ahead and delete that file. You shouldn't get an error message that says the file is in use by another program since no programs start automatically when you are in safe mode.

download 'Dr. Delete'

let's you delete 'in use' files
