The next time you urinate, stop yourself midway. The muscles that allow you to stop are your kegels. Once you're aware of where they are without urinating, you can tighten them by continually contracting and relaxing the muscle. I'd say start with sets of 10 and work your way up...you can do kegels anywhere!

You know, guys can practice strengthening these muscles too! I have even read that it helps us in various ways. I do them for a while, but then forget about doing them for a while. So thanks for reminding me about them.

I found a website once that had a lot of information about Kegel exercises. (The exercises are named for the guy who came up with the idea; he may have been a doctor, but I don't know. The actual muscle is not the "Kegel muscle," but the "pubococcygeal muscle." Just so ya know. :)) I forgot what site it was, but it had different kinds of practices to do. Some were about holding the muscle tight for a certain count, and then about tightening further, then relaxing, and doing it more and more.

I'm gonna do some before I go to sleep tonight.

Part of the fun is that you can do these AnYwHeRe!! :p You can be on line in the supermarket and be workin' those fuck muscles! LOL! Just make a lot of eye contact and smiiiiile! No one will know what the hell you're smiling about. It'll be a lot of fun!

I've tried doing em but they didn't seem to really do anything for me? What are they supposed to do? And how many before results?

Are these the same as pelvic floor exercises?

    I believe they are, yes.

The pubococcygeal muscle is referred to as the "pelvic floor," as far as I have seen.

Ah right. Apparently they give pelvic floor training to people when they're going through the menopause, so if you're looking for tips on Kegelling, you might want to ask your mum, or go see Victoria Wood.

How do you use it when your having sex?

    I'm so confused.

I remember when I use to lift weights, I did this crazy insane leg lift thing where I layed on my stomach and pulled my legs up and it made me feel like I was having an orgasm. I think I can thank my kegel for that.

I just want to know how I can make my sexual expirence better. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had an orgasm during sex..almost..and maybe a moderate one, but not a FULL OUT orgasm. :/

    Is something wrong with me?

Nope. A good majority of women can't orgasm from intercourse alone. Kegels can help with that, but most women need some sort of clitoral stimulation in order to orgasm.

Um, what? The skin between the vulva and the anus is called the perineum; that it what is cut during an episiotomie. The pelvic floor muscles (or pupococcygeal muscle, as Jeffrey stated) are internal.
