I put my first one in not very long ago, and I've got a bunch of saliva just sitting in my mouth... this always happens when I go to the dentist, 'cos I don't wanna swallow whatever they put in there...

Is this stuff okay to swallow? Obviously it says so on the box, but thats like asking Bushco if DU is safe to use...

When I used them I just kept a cup in front of me and spit into it when the saliva built up. However I did swallow that nasty spit a few times and never got sick or anything, but it tasted like bleach.

The strips contain a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. It is fine for you to swallow. They are very safe when used as directed. They may cause extreme tooth sensitivity, but that will go away when you stop using it. You can use either Sensodyne toothpaste or Gel-Kam to combat the sensitivity (Gel-Kam is available from your pharmacist).

    Cool, thanks a lot. :)

And damn, they really work quick too! I didn't start brushing my teeth regularly til I was 14 & a 1/2 or so, so yeah, they're needed. :(

I've tried them and while they do work, after a few days I noticed my gums were VERY sensitive and they would bleed from just using the strips... they started tingling as well and were red ... I know you aren't supposed to get the gel on your gums, and I tried my best not to, but it's going to come in contact with them a little... so I quit using them.

I've experienced no bleeding of any kind .

I had problems with sensitivity, but I've cut usage down to one strip a day (per row), and afterwards, I rinse my mouth out with warm water... no problems in a few days! :)

    buahahaha, white teeth too!! :X
