Sometimes they're fun, just depends what they're about. The one thing that's annoying about them is that a vote bumps them to the top of the 'active posts' list, even if no new comment was made. So I'll open the thread and find no real new content.
I think that polls should be killed by surveys. A rise of surveys is needed, to end this epidemic.... Although I think I've made a few.
