...recreate the success of their earlier albums? Though their latest albums have been good, i don't think they are as classic as the earlier ones.
never liked them either, and i dont think they will recreate the 'good' music they did earlier in their career. i think they'll be dead in 3 years, i hope so anyway.
I agree, but it's tough to make songs as good as what they've made. And for good songs, go for "Ants Marching" "Jimi Thing", "Grey Street", "Rapunzel", and of course "crash"... to name a few.
Other good songs by DMB: "Don't Drink the Water" "Satellite" "Stay (Wasting Time)" "Tripping Billies"
i used to have a few of their live songs on my computer that were alright. I think they were "grey street", and...i think someother song with brick in the title, i cant remember. The rest of the stuff i really dont like, and i wouldnt care at all if they disbanded.
DMB never had good music earlier in their career... They're a wannabe jamband who's more mainstream than Britney Spears.
remember two things is a wonderful album nathan, if you want to check out some of their better stuff. #41 is also an amazing song...and so is Two Step. i REALLY don't like the direction their music has taken. I've been a fan since two things came out and they are begininng to loose me, esp with this new album. it's sounds majorly over produced(from what ive heard of it)......i'm all for changing up sound a little bit, many bands have changed sound and matured in their own way and it still sounded great but........bleh. I'll always love them though.
I like the early stuff. The only stuff I really like is when he plays with Tim Reynolds. Luther College was the best album. I had a picture of my parents and myself with Dave in Virginia Beach in the early 90s back when he was moreso of a local guy... that was around '92 before he ever had an official release. I think my aunt has that photo now. I wanna get her to make copies of it.
