    Woodstock wasn't as fun as Snoopy.
    Anyone who says Linus was cool at all, follow these steps:

    Get razor
    Swipe across throat
    Repeat as necessary

    Well, then you must have known about the protest to have woodstock banned from being theatred? It was great and all, but I feel that the way some people took it and still take it in, don't get the whole jist of things. I mean, look at the way the norms treat us hipps because of the exposure? We're still being treaded on as low life losers, and the stereotype? Dumb, un-educated beggers, liers, thieves, and major druggies. This is not true. We are a profound people searching to make a difference in this world, and we truely express ourselves in an open manner. The protestors were concerned about the impact the exposure of our occult like culture would have on the broader society. That we are primitive savages and rebels. We are not as portrayed in most modern films, shows, and cartoons. We are spiritual people who care about our Earth and want to enjoy our lives the way it should be. Not because of what modern western culture thinks.

    Hi Sue,

    Tell Dave I finally saw and replied to his e-mail. Now that I have a real job again and have to fix up the house and pack for moving, I don't always check my e-mail as often or carefully as I used to, and with all the Hip Forums updates, other messages sometimes get buried.

    CSNY i thought i was good for only being there 2nd gig playing together;
    I liked Joe Cockers whole performance a lot;
    Canned Heat also did pretty well
    Its unfortunate Jimi wanted to perform last, most of the crowd was gone by then. Still his performance was spectacular

    Woodstock was enjoyable primarily in retrospect. At the time it was rain, mud, no shelter, no facilities, &c.

    Dumb and un-educated beggars is sort of redundant, you might want to use the phrase 'ignorant beggars.' Most hippies do drugs, to excess also... I can vouch. People aren't going to take any hippie seriously when they try to say some bs about being profound but spell 'beggar,' 'liar,' and 'truly' wrong.

    Woodstock was amazing from what I could see. I wish so much that I could've been there.
    Someone make a time machine!!! ;)
    I have the Woodstock movie, and my favorite performances are the Who and Sly and the Family Stone ( I just love that song..'wanna take you higher')
    But my all time favorite is Santana's "Soul Sacrifice"
    I've played an electric guitar for a while now, and the way it was played in that song seriously made me just stop and for the first time I really felt the music. in my soul, and I wasnt even high or anything.

    I want to go skinnydipping now.
    the best way to swim.

    I was at Woodstock and a lot of it sucked-the rain-Mud-the sound system sucked-no food or facilities-but it was a statement at the time etc.
    I think the past is the past and live in the now-there are some awesome groups and music going down now.
    The Woodstock stories remind me now of old fuckin men talking about World war II and Woodstock was kool but move on and yes this person is 12!
    Also-saying you are A REAL HIPPY just made me make my Coffee come out my nose!
