As like anything in life, you cannot ever classify any one group as being the same. I agree, there are fakes just out to get your money, but there are also those who actually know how to use their abilities, the ability that we all have(yes, we are all psychic). It's like the catholic priests sexually abusing children, it's terrible that some do it, but there are probably more that don't and help heal & do good. If it's one thing I've learned in life, it's that you cannot classify entire groups with a single statement, we are all unique. Good luck to you. As a general rule though, any psychic that cares more about the money than helping, probably isn't too serious.
Well, I'd disagree with you there. I'm far from closed-minded, but all this psychic shit is just bollocks. You can make whatever excuses you like, but in this world where everything is exploited for $$$, anyone with real psychic abilities would use them to make money - or at least some evil bastard would exploit them to make money. Either way, we'd know about it. As I've never seen any display of psychic powers that was even half-way good enough to go on stage as a variety act, I'm going to carry on disbelieving it.

I truly believe that there are people out there who possess the gift of being able to see things that others cannot, but I also think that there are peole who abuse that gift, or claim that they have it but in reality they do not, and try to fool the innocent believers for mere financial profit. However, I for one firmly believe in psychic abilities.

I have reasons, yes. But being that you seem quite against these abilities, I don't see the need to explain my reasons to you because you'll only react to them with immense negativity and a closed mind. I am simply showing my support of others who may believe in these abilites as well.
