God, I remember the Damned must of seen them over 20times. The drummer from an ex band I was in, used to drum on Rat Scabies drum kit. Saw them when they were good as I went to the Captain last Stand at I think Brixton Brokwell Park but mainly I saw them when they were doing Eloise which was not so good.

Wow Fly, didn't realise you were a Damned fan!
My brother's band supported them last year...it was awesome...I was hanging out in the VIP area with Captain Sensible and Eddie and the Hot-Rods! My brother jammed with the band, it was insane! Of course, in my opinion the best band there that night was Harken (my bro's band), but the Damned guys were awesome too.
I kind of lost a bit of respect for the Captain however when I saw him on a French educational tv programme laughing awkwardly anytime he was spoken to because he didnt understand their accents, or the language. It was funny, but not something you want to see a legend like him doing really.
I didn't even recognise him at first when I met him. I was trying to tie my shoe lace, and i just passed my drink to the person next to me and asked them to hold it...it was only when I stood up that I realised it was the Captain :S
If I remember correctly, the gig was on Captain Sensible's 50th birthday...scary.

I hazily remember seeing them in a rather hazy venue.

The crowd were quite abusive to captain sensible - something about being a traitor?

Anway, i was blown away by the sheer skill in his performance.

A fine gig so it was.
