I am 6 foot 1 by the way. But I dropped from about 174 to 169. The thing is, I haven't really exercised excessively. For three years I did cross country, (running as much as 13 miles last year for college cross country) and I don't remember losing this much back than. But I haven't run in a year (which I need to do again).

I have never eaten breakfest. In fact, the past two years I slept past 10, than I go to my 11 o'clock class. My diet is the same, in fact, being at college, I have eaten so many philly cheese steaks from this one place...so I wonder how I could lose 5 pounds without doing much, it's odd. I do play basketball for two hours, twice a week, but that can't do it, 'cos all those steak subs, mexican food, roast beef sandwichs and fries pack on the calories I would burn during those sessions two 2 hour sessions a week..hmmm...maybe its just walking to and from class, but I doubt it, small campus.

Could be the fact what you were wearing was light weight or the weighing machine wasn't corresponding the same equation as the one you used previously. It happens. :) Plus sometimes the body just eats up those calories.

I don't know about clothes...first time I was in my boxers...this time i was in cords and a shirt, so if anything, clothes added weight. Although, point well taken on scale calibration. Though I think both my doctors and campus doctor have newer scales..in fact, the campus doc mentioned something about calibrating the scale. i just need to find out about the doctors scale back home...but could there really be more than 5 pounds difference? especially if i had less on at home and more at school..

I think being a tall, relatively thin young male just means you're prone to some unexplained weight fluctuations. Fast metabolisms and all that.

I'm about 6'3, pretty thin and have a fairly similar lifestlye to you (from what you've written anyway) and I find I can gain/lose as much as 10 pounds in a very short period of time for no apparent reason. It's odd.
Do you smoke much? I'm convinced ganj plays its part as well...

haha, I used to smoke all the time. I stopped around mid-January and haven't since. I do remember eating a lot no matter how much I smoked or how often.

Well it could be a loss of muscle-especially if you use to run alot and now you don't.

if you gain or lose a lot quickly it is usually that your water level is fluctuating.
