Alright guys...a while back, I finished up a perscription for Augmentin for a sinus infection....no more green snot or anything, YaY...but my ears are still plugged up, and my throat kinda hurts on and off. How long should I wait until I go back to the doc? Some days I'm more plugged up then others...this has just been going on for a few days so far.
i was getting terrible ear/throat infections. i took antibiotics for 10 days and it just came back a few months later. so i looked into it and decided to go the natural root. i took colloidal silver, vitamin C and ate lots of soy yogurt. colloidal silver is a natural antibiotic, it's not for everyone some people are allergic to it. the yogurt has friendly bacteria that works with antibiotics. theres a bunch of other natural things you can do to it antibiotics don't work for you. now if my ears ache just the tiniest bit i eat some soy yogurt and its gone.
Hmmm...thanks for the information. I've heard about collodial silver, but never tried it yet. Do you just drip it into your ears or what?
An infection doesn't return after "a few months". You got a NEW infection. Try and antihistamine/decongestant combination (such as Sudafed Allergy in the green box). If that doesn't alleviate your symptoms, consult your doctor.
Does it have to be decongestant/antihisitimine combo? Or can it be just a decongestant? Or will the antihistimine dry up the fluid that is trapped in my ears or what?
my ears hurt for months after i had gone to the doctors. some days i couldn't hear that well. they kept telling me to wait it out. so when the severe pain returned thats when i did the natural stuff. you can drip it in your ears, but i'd be careful doing so. i gargled it and then swallowed it because my throat was infected too.
All you need to open up your sinuses is a decongestant. I would imagine that allergies are at least partly responsible for the congestion occuring in the first place, especially this time of year. An antihistamine would help ward off the the allergic reaction.
