Okay, so the fucking government (at least the government in Rome, GA) has decided to place cameras that snap photos of people who run red traffic lights. Then, as my FEMA-employed friend tells me, they can send a ticket to your home and require the fucking money. Now is THIS taking it a LITTLE TOO FAR, or is this truly a pressing issue that we need to focus on in order to maintain our pisspoor status as "U.S.A. #1!!!" ? I just had to drive directly through the middle of town, and technically I probably ran 4 or 5 red lights, but it was at the last second like when everyone else realizes that putting on the brakes would NOT be effective. Now then, I know I'm an asshole of a driver, and I carry big guns to shut people the fuck up if they wanna complain about it, so don't go off on the whole "Well, you shoulda stopped at the red-light in the first place.... it's the law." - we all know we do it, prick, so get off your jolly-lolly high horse of an ass, and get down to the grit and grime the rest of us live in! As far as the fucking red lights I ran tonight are concerned, I'll eat the beating heart out of any mother fucker who actually expects a fucking penny outta me! Traffic laws have always been sorta flexible, and often in our favor last time I checked. Hell, I had a cop run through a yellow-then changing to-red light, right alongside of me just a few minutes ago! We'll both have to pay fucking tickets, and that makes both of our lives that much more restricted... as in the opposite of that fucking FREEDOM we're supposedly spreading in Iraq.... Well, goddamnit.... I think it's high time we quit wasting our FREEDOM where it's unwelcome, and start dropping some of that shit here in our own fucking country... take that any way you want man.... Either way, this means I'm gonna have to make yet ANOTHER drive across town so that I can go to Wal-Mart... You know why? To get some mother fucking BOOTS, 'cause the shit is gettin' deep in my neck of the woods.... how 'bout your's???
There's talk of such a system going in to place here in Mobile, AL.. And wtf are you talking about you and the cop paying tickets? Yeah right, we all know cops are above the law. Since we're all equal and all.. Wait what?
Rent or buy the 1960s british tv series "The prisoner" youll get an idea whats in store for us in the next 20 years.
I flip those cameras off everywhere I go. It's not just that they can take a snapshot of your license plate, it's also that they can upgrade that to live feed 24/7 which in alot of places they already do. Technically they can also map your personal routes through town etc.. based on license plate #'s. Think about it. ... and of course the damn cop isn't going to pay a ticket.
IN another 20 years you could not move around in a big city with out being track of every move you make. Private life would be very minimal maybe your bedroom . they can break in your house see what brand of tv or dvd player etc replace it with a indentical one except this one got a camera. all your bases are cover including your own bedroom.
yeah, we don't all run red lights, so calm down bro. You're supposed to start braking when the light turns yellow, not when it turns red. And yeah, this law is there to protect people, so I don't think it's wrong that they punish idiots who run reds. A lot of accidents are caused that way, and people die. Why do you believe it is your right to drive as you please, even putting others at risk? Because guess what...you do NOT have that right. This is why they invented stop lights in the first place, because without an orderly flow of traffic you have chaos, dangerous chaos.
Dude, I bet you've run a red light or two in your time.... I can't say for sure, but what if there's a red light at one intersection, and there are no cars anywhere in sight at the other and the light has stayed red for more than three minutes and you're already late for work? That's just one example.... I'm talking more or less about BIG BROTHER kinda shit here... not the fucking "orderly nature of the law"..... that, my friend, would be futile.... and I believe almost all of us can agree on that for sure.
And also... I am the Supreme Chancellor of the Universe... (elected by a collection of my drunken peers), therefore, I am above the law, and I have all rights to do whatever the hell I fucking please... and so do you.... THAT is my first and final decree until otherwise posted....
the fact that he ran the light or not is not the major issue = the fact that more cameras are around to watch every move you make is. today is used for that but tomorrow they well used it to bust you while you smoke your little joint with your friends.
How are you not dead? And no, I don't buy that last-second when it's still yellow bullshit. That happens maybe once or twice a week, not 4 or 5 times in one drive.
Word, man.... Pikachu person.... don't even get me started..... YELLOW means get the fuck out on through or get outta my way 'cause I've got shit to do, and sitting in traffic to watch all the fatass K-mart shoppers leave the parking lot is not exactly on my agenda. I've got a grandmother dying, three households with a total of 13 animals, and my parents/aunts are all going crazy and won't let the poor woman go even when she's cursing and screaming at all of us! I've been driving a 15 mile run that takes half an hour at the most, not to mention the numerous trips through the godawful Atlanta traffic to get to Piedmont Hospital so that I can check on my family/grandmother as well. The LAST thing I want is a fucking ticket for doing something that I see done every goddamn day, by civilians, military personel, and law enforcement officiers! I'm gonna go get some spray paint or some naptha if these fuckin cameras keep watching me.... This isn't about the color of the lights, people.... this is about BIG BROTHER becoming PAINFULLY REAL, and here we have two people, who are obviously without sin, talking about "well you shouldn't have broken the law in the first place." I'd really LOVE to know the number of people on these forums who have NEVER broken a law and honestly believe that our system of criminal justice is exactly the way it should be. I don't want to know the people, because frankly, I think I'd be bored out of my mind by their self-righteous babble, but I'd LOVE to see a realistic and honest figure... I'll go ahead and throw one out there for ya... just to give it a shot... 0. That, is my final answer.
Those camera's are in my country and have been for a long time.. some get molested 'n such.. it's not like a camera it's a sort of automatic picture thing.. dunno. Too stoned still to explain or research.. but in the country where weed is legal (sort of) we have those things so.. well... yeah
excuse me... I got a little brain fart there.... it takes me half an hour, at the LEAST to get from one side of town to the other... It's not like I live in some huge metropolis or anything... I spent 8 years of my life in dowtown Atlanta, and there is simply no excuse for this type of traffic here in Rome, GA. Yes, for all who still believe Georgia is a backwards redneck state of gun-totin' consevatives.... I do live in Georgia, but no, Rome, nor Atlanta really fit into that mold by any means. No, Rome is not technically a suburb of Atlanta, and I'm telling you this as a sociologist. They may seem close on the map, but take a closer look and you'll see the real truth.... It's these damn Alabamans driving over to use our Wal-Marts that are causing half the traffic... to bad their economy is shot to shit like it is... otherwise none of this might be happening right now.... maybe we just need to start massive sterilization efforts, or concentration camps for inbred people. Well, maybe we shouldn't take it that far, but still.... there is a problem, and we need to solve it.... hopefully with something cool like boxing matches or laser guns... or good ol' fashioned trench warfare.... the possibilities are endless....
It wouldn't be such a big deal if these cameras were simply for red lights. Around where I live (Cleveland, Ohio) they're attempting to use cameras to simply catch people speeding. Now you can't say that you have never gone over the speed limit; everyone has. I'm not only talking about going 20 miles over, either. You could get a ticket for a mere 5 miles over. Fortunately, there are a lot of people fighting these cameras.
we used to smoke pot all the time but your confused about the public part anything out of your home is public. well almost .
