A fist hit the solid wall of the hospital waiting room with a loud thud. “Sir?” the nurse asked with concern “I’m sorry that you have to make such a hard decision.” “Hard! What is hard about this? This – decision determines if I get to keep my wife or child.” “Sir I know how you feel.” “No, No you don’t. One way or another I will be a murder.” “Abortion is common sir.” “Abortion? Abortion wouldn’t be so bad if the baby wasn’t already five months along.” “You do have the option to wait it out the full nine months…” “And let my wife have a survival rate of 20 percent? Even I don’t have that much faith.” Ethan leaned against the wall and slowly slid down. It had been two months ago when the doctor proposed the idea Ruby might not be able to live past the birth long enough to save her. The three months up till that time were so exciting, finally they were getting what they always wanted, a child to call their own. All sorts of baby names were running through their minds, they already made plans to add on to the house so the baby would always have its own room to play, or sleep which ever came first. Ethan finally landed a good paying job; Ruby was finally out of school. Things were looking great. Then Ethan and Ruby’s world came crashing in on them. Now Ethan was left with the decision of his life. Save his wife or save his unborn child. To face Eternal Guilt one way or another, with no way of knowing what would happen if he waited any longer. Ethan stayed at Ruby’s side since the beginning. Ethan walked back into Ruby’s room, she lay there so quite and still that he had to keep looking at the monitor to remember she wasn’t already dead. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!! Ruby had flat lined. Doctors came running in pushing Ethan out of the room. Struggling against he on rush of doctors he finally managed to get a look on the doctors’ face. He saw them walk away with heads bowed. No more choice, No more eternal guilt. No more pain. Three hours later he was in his and what once was their room. Pulling the gun from the dresser he could only think about how if he would of came to a conclusion sooner one would still be alive. Nothing was left for him now. With a bang his brains flew out the back of his head leaving a trail of smoke and blood splatters on the wall. His lifeless body fell face first on to the floor. Clutching a gun in one hand and a picture of Ruby in another. excuse me for my sucky writing but hey...its the messages that counts i guess
At first I thought it was from an existing story and that you just posted it here to ask "what would you choose?", but it turned out to be a story from yourself and not even a half bad one.
"What would you choose?" My wife, obviously. IMO anybody who picks an unborn child over the one that they are supposed to be loving needs to get locked up. Jesus christ people, its just abortion, worry about the people who are already on the planet. That shouldn't be a hard decision for anyone. Fucking bible.
youd be a lot more impressive if you didn't have chocolate chip crumbs in your eyebrows says: penises are like elephant trunks Greg E. Swoon - You can squeeze me darling, but don't you squeeze too tight. says: yes, quite much, only I can't grab peanuts with mine and stick them in my mouth
As the wife, I'd rather have the baby. If I was the husband, I don't know what I would do. Save the one I love, or save my unborn child, something that I created with something of a powerful love. The mother has a 20% chance of living, stil...Meh, that's just me.
I'd save my lover. There's always the possibility of having another child (and if not, I mean, there is adoption). I'd rather have the one I loved.
