It's not true that only priests can talk to God, all of us can, only you have to know how to do so. God is Nature, everything around you and in you, you don't have to search for God anywhere, He is here!
I'm catholic only because I was raised so, but I always say that all religions are my religions, because I believe in God, doesn't matter how you call him!
The principe is the same, all the rest of the stuff are just details, this is what matters!
