I had to turn the tv off  i was starting to freak out.

He mixed up the names Osama Bin Laden with Saddam Hussein.

"Osama bin Laden was a bad man who was doing terrible things, but he was never a threat to the United States. Iraq was never a threat to the United States. It isn't right to send our troops to a country based on a lie. Based on a lie that the leader there was posing a threat to us, that the country was posing a threat to us"

    :(

i feel sorta scared for him. i know hes going to get a lot of heat from republicans now for that.

He's going to get a lot of heat from the republicans for saying he hates them. lol. But yeah, he did stick his foot in his mouth quite a few times. I could only take a few minutes of it before I was forced to turn it off.

I don't know anything about this thing, but when i read that text above i think it looks like he is just talking about two things; Osama Bin Laden and Afghan were never a threat AND Iraq was neither a threat.. am I wacked or.?

he said something along the lines of
"Osama bin laden never posed a threat to the united states. He was doing bad things in his own country, but Iraq never posed a threat to the United states. It isnt right to send troops to a country based on a lie."

Osama Bin Laden isn't a threat to the United States, it's your own people you should be worrying most about. If we can't even get our own healthcare, especially for senior citizens and children who can't afford it, and if we can't even get social security straight for ourselves, we sure as hell shouldn't be trying to "help" another country by doing what WE think is right to get something for ourselves and creating a trillian dollar debt, but that's obvious. You fuck with people and you get fucked. The US should have never started this shit in the eighties.... Besides, Saddam knew the Bush family well. They and Donald Rumsfeld used to visit him in the eighties. It's a big piece of shit and they got themselves into it, they can get themselves the fuck out, as for me, I don't care anymore. They're on their own. I'd rather be apolitical until I feel it's safe to think.

I agree, I never liked Howard. My first choice was Kucinich of course... but I just never saw the appeal of Howard. I'm glad he isn't president, and I'm not surprised at his slip up...

That doesn't mean Osama Bin Laden isn't also a threat

Yeah, I really do wish Kucinich had the ability to get recognized at the same level...

Until he marries a lady who owns the biggest barbeque sauce in the country, or somthing, he'll have no chance. That is of course, unless he's got an enormous backing that others can't ignore. I don't know if he'll run next year, I think he ran out of money (it's such a shame that money is what the elections are pretty much based on).

No, by meaning Osama Bin Laden isn't a threat, that means I personally do not feel he is a threat to myself, if you'd like to feel threatened by him, go ahead, but it serves no purpose to me. I believe, if you recall, the United States went after Saddam for these weapons of mass destruction (note: where the hell are they?).

The only reason I'd feel Osama Bin Laden is a threat is because the US has been fucking around with his family and there's been something they won't tell us. That, on the other hand, lies in the hands of the Bush administration. If Osama is a threat to the US, people could use a little logic and realize that he doesn't have to come in physical contact with us to be a threat. Putting the United States into a trillion dollar debt works greatly, on the other hand, he didn't do that, that was because the US went into Iraq.

To tell you the truth, I do not give a fuck because I know he isn't a threat to me and never will be....

Its also debateable that he's not at all a threat to the rest of America either.

Rumsfeld has referred to bin Laden as Saddam a number of times. :) He once made a remark about Saddam hiding out in Pakistan.
