Hello Groovy Guys & Gals, What an amazing community you've created here! I look forward to becoming a part of it all. It especially warms my heart to see that the majority of people here are NOT older hippies from the Boomer generation, like I am, but instead are of the growing new youth movement worldwide, who continue to wave those ever-LOVIN' Freak Flags HIGH !!! Peace, Mojave Joe
Hey Joe, (Sorry, I had to say that), I'm kind of half way between your generation and the younger folks on the site. Grew up in the Seventies and left school early Eighties -- but I was always drawn back culturally to the Sixties. One of my first memories is of my uncle Steven in Cambridge in the late Sixties teaching me and my brothers how to sing "Yellow Submarine". Of course, Pink Floyd were in town at that time and I didn't even know.Hmm. I'm into Gram Parsons big time too ... but you probably get bored hearing about him out there! Anyway, glad you're a part of the site.
Hey Gypsy Dave, (And no, I don't have a "gun in my hand') Gram Fest is held every year in the Fall, with lots of music, and you should try and make it. And of course, if you stay at the Joshua Tree Inn, Room 8 is where Gram "checked out" so bring your Ouija Board, have a seance, and maybe you can spend the evening with him. Peace, Mojave Joe
Thanks for the greets, weep and cerridwen! I must admit, since I've only recently found you all, I've been doing much more reading than posting thus far, because there is so much history here, and so much good stuff... but once I start, expect volumes of vastly verbose verbiage. Wheee!!!
