After reading about various methods of curing and such, I thought I'd give it a try this year with my crop. But it also brought to mind that old kindergarden science experiment where you feed blue food colouring in with the water to some celery and the celery soon turns blue itself. So I got thinking about combining my two favorite skills, smoking pot and a chef, but with a twist. I'd like to maybe set aside a plant for culinary purposes, kind of a test for my cooking prowess But my question is two fold. First, could anyone recommend some links for the marijuana chef? Recepies, methods, etc all welcome! Secondly is the experiment part. Using the 'food colouring' principal, could I do the same idea with sugar to sweeten my plant? My thoughts were to dilute maybe 1/2 cup of sugar in more than a gallon of boiling water (since some will be lost to evaporation). Boil thuroughly to bond it to the water, then cool at room temperature for at least a day. Filtering before using to catch any bits that didn't dissolve would probably be good too. This is the part I'm most curious about as I have seen NO information regarding this (hopefully) original idea. The plant wouldn't be for smoking though since I've read of people using sugar to fake crystals, add weight, etc. and the sugars would only add harshness I believe
Do a google search for "Chef Ra" or "marijuana chefs" and it returns quite a few good links on cooking with cannabis. As for sweetening up your pot plants, I've read before that organic growers sometimes add molasses to their nutrient mix and that will turn out a sweeter smoke. Check overgrow.com, i think thats where i read about it.
I really think you are onto something, here, Brixx. Imo It's about time we stopped hurting out lungs from smoking and began enjoying the fruits of Cannabis a la stove top recipes hehe good luck in your efforts to making some sweet-ass pot
