one half of my brain is in the "gifted" catagorey wile the other half is in the "low" catagorey.Im good at art and wirtting but not at math and spelling.
wow that is a sweet picture..look what i think is you need to feel everything you do and if yer good at art and shit just do it...as long as you are happy it doesnt matter
i was in special classes in skool. i think we all got learning disabilites to some degree. i find that were all smart at the things we want to learn and understand, but when someone wants to teach us about something we don't wanna learn we kinda lack at it. does that make any sense?
After stuggling with math and excelling at all the other classes, I took part in a study for learning disabilties in University. I was diagnosed as having the mathmatical equivilent of dyslexia. Be glad you have been diagnosed at a relatively early age! I understand the frustration that comes from being artistic in a math-worshipping world. My parents wanted an engineer, but got a painter. Hang in there!
I'm no good at art, but I pick up languages like a fish in water. The humanities interest me the most so I do the best in them... I'm much more of an abstract thinker. But if you put a math problem in front of me, no matter how recently I learned it or how simple of an equation it is, I'm guarenteed to mess up. Luckily I won't need much math for my career (hopefully) so yay.
I feel for you man, I still have troube with rights and lefts, and my math skills suck (I failed it completly) but my writing and drawing skills are very good. (But yeah, I have to think about which way is right and which is left, and dont get me started on North, South, East, and West)
I had troubles with Math too, I found that out early back in school. Cant add a 3 digit number and 2 digit number w/o using a calculator or paper and pen even now that I'm 26.. I'm not good at it bec it doesn't interest me as much as writing does. I don't think that's something to feel bad about though. Cheer up!
