    Hey everyone.. :)
I'm currently doing my thing down in central florida.. I've lived in northern Virginia most of my life, and just recently broke away from my dead end job and too high rent payments to seek the nomadic lifestyle.. I came down to florida for rainbow and ended up getting locked up for possession of 2 grams. So I've kind of been stuck down here for the past few months.. but since festival season is upon us, I just sold my car and bought some good backpacking gear.. much better than my old stuff.

So my plan is to head up to Michigan.. I have some phamily in jackson that I am going to stay with until bonnaroo. Then I am headed to Ohio for another gathering, and probably another one in minnesota in early june. I plan on working my way out west by the end of august.. but I would really like to hike part of the Appalachian trail with someone.. I used to hike it a lot when I was younger, when my uncle would take me up there and teach me the ways of the woods.

Or really anywhere with good hiking. My schedule is pretty much open from early June to late august.. and I'd like to spend some of that time out in the wilderness with a kind head or three. None of my friends are really that into hiking, or have the right gear. I have enough basics for two people (good tent, stove, pots) .. but you'll need to bring some gear as well.

So does anyone want to talk about it? I'm open to going pretty much anywhere, if I can find a way. Since I sold my car I have to rely on my feet, public transportation, or friends. But anyways, I'm 23, real laid back, and an aquarius. Let's live in nature! :D

I also am working my way out west in a car, primitively camping, from indiana in late june. we're making a point to hit boulder CO and all of Oregon so far, probably end up moving to north bay of SF Cali....Or Arcata in Humboldt if the weather stays nice....

    the more the merrier :)

My friend and I are not terribly experienced in traveling, but I have roughed it in some pretty strange and harsh conditions, so I have lots of confidence: the main concern :)

The only true goal for this trip is discipline....nothing else....Discipline to stay alive and among nature.....

    Shroomism.....

What part of Ohio are you coming to for a gathering.....and when is it?
and.....are you still looking for people to join your hiking caravan?

Right now I am staying in Lebanon, Ohio and am an semi- experienced hiker, so hit me back and let me know....I may just know a kind head or three that would be into experiencing some wilderness.

It's at Nelson Ledges.. in Portage County, the week after bonnaroo

I'm not even sure of my plans yet. I talked to one guy already that lives in New York, and he wants to do some hiking. But I definitely want to try and make it out west by august.. like right after All Good.. or Jerry's Birthday Bash.. I want to try and make it to Burning man.. if I can afford.. and then to So. Cal for another shroomery gathering.. and then to northern cali for Earthdance.

So I've got a pretty busy summer lined up, but with probably 2 weeks at the beginning of July, and most of August to go hiking/travelling.

I am also a semi-experienced hiker, but I havent done any serious hiking for several years. I just got a bunch of brand new gear so I am eager to try it out.

But yeah.. I'm not too good at planning stuff. But if anyone thinks our schedules/locations would work together.. let's try to figure something out. Celeritea that goes for you too. If anyone wants to hit me up on AIM.. my name is Shroomismschism

well I can tell you that here in Ohio, we have the Buckeye trail, which pretty much goes around the outer rim of the state. Part of it goes right through my "home hiking ground" of Caesar Creek State Park, and I am pretty sure it winds through where you are headed in Ohio as well.....too bad it would probably take 2 weeks to get from one to the other though. :)
