I really like Captain Beefheart, haven't heard of the others. You like them or you heard good things about them. Beefheart's work is certainly original, I like his bluesy stuff best, though most of his work is amazing.
Beefheart is the daddy. Trout Mask Replica is still the album I throw on when I want to spin myself out a little. Mike Patton is pretty cool as well, even if just for the quite awesome Faith No More. That band reminds me of being about 5 years old. Mr Bungle and some of his other more experimental stuff is pretty cool although I still think Tomahawk is probably the best of all. Whats Lustmord? Don't think I know him/them?
