Funeral Wear

Hey everyone
I Have to go to a funeral in a few weeks, its my best m8s grandad and im not sure what to wear colour wise...i dont have many black clothes and dont wanna wear any bright colours incase they think im being like disrespectful or something lol what to do!
Has anyone else had trouble choosing what to wear to such an occasion?

At my grandma's funeral it wasn't very formal in the sense that everyone did wear a dress or a skirt or a suit, but (except for my grandparents on the other side, my grandpa wore one of his paper thin every day shirts and pants ) and I don't think anyone was dressed in black.. you can ask them
