well i've plugged a different keyboard from a differnt computer in and now I have a spacebar again. My sister says the spacebar died once when she was on this PC and then it fixed its self after a while...I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed and all that...
woo.let's.all.type.like.this.even.though.we're.screwed.when.we.get.to.the.end.of.a.sentence.aaaaaaaaargh.how.does.it.stop?noooooooooooooo.i.know! ah.hah!god.i.feel.retarded
I have a keyboard I've been using for about five years, adn it still works great The only problem is that the lettering is starting to come off. The N and M keys are totally blank, and the E key is on its way. I plan to have the world's first "stealth keyboard"
there are plenty of buttons on the keyboard you probably never press.. when my space bar broke i just opened up me keyboard and swapped the little pad thingy from the space bar with the one from the home key and now it works fine.. as long as i never need to use the home key.. but im sure i wont.. i dont even know what it does
I use my home key quite a lot ... like when you type a search term and think "oh hang on, that ought to be in quotes" (like "abi titmuss" instead of abi titmuss), you just press the home key and it takes you back to the beginning of the line so you can put the " there. Then you press the end key because you forgot to put the " at the end. Interesting.:H Yes.
you know a lot of spacebar problems are caused becuase the lil metal thing that is underneath it fell off... take a fork or somethin, pop open the space bar and get the bar back in its place... if thats the problem.
oh is that what it does.. nice i might use it in future... oh wait i cant... its making my space bar work
Too late! I had one like that for several years. Never saw it as a problem though, I don't ever look at the letters... only numbers/symbols I don't always type blind. On my last keyboard (not the same one the letters wore off -that was my very first) a couple letters stopped working, for a while it was only the S so I just selected a random 's' somewhere, copy'd it and used control-V any time I wanted to type it... typed like that for a week. But then more keys started to mess up and that was too much of a pain, so I replaced it.
