Discin'... Frisbee Golf.. Frolf.....

Anyone here go discin? its such a great and fun sport... its also a cheap sport.... anyone can start playing with no more than $10.. and almost every course is free... except for large, well maintained courses(only one in this state that i can think of is Kaposia, but they've held championships there and its very very well maintained and a beautiful course)...its a nice sport... most courses are built in parks and around wooded areas which makes for great scenery and a very tranquil experience... another thing is.. at least here... you never find cops around them and you can smoke openly on the course because no one really cares.. if you havent experienced frisbee golf... get out there man! its a nice form of exercise.. tossin a disc(frisbee) 200ft 18+ times can be quite the workout on a hot summer day.... and its usually a nice size walk too....




if anyone wonders why im postin this here its because almost everyone i've met or know that plays are complete stoners...

 

I've been wanting to try it out, me and my buddies always love to throw around the frisbee(s) at the park, and its a blast. i think i only really have one local course unfortunately, but I just haven't got other people to go with me, and my friends are all broke... haha.

 

I used to. Before they tore down the OLDEST park/course in Vegas to build a "Government Center".

 

Are there any other good courses in Las Vegas... im goin there in December... maybe i'll go check one out

 

No. I'm sad to say. That was the last one. (Sniff. I grew UP in that park! They had a REAL steam loco you could climb on.)

 

aww... that sucks man.... thank god i live in a state thats somewhat enviromentally consious of things... last time i checked minnesota was like 3rd in the nation for most disc courses..... where i live we have two.... a 9 and a 18.... they've been working on the 18.. making it really nice... concrete tees... rock tee markers with plaques on them for each hole donated by one of the local factories here.... its really nice... the 9 needs some work.. but i believe they're just gonna get the 18 all set up then maybe work on the 9.. i dunno

 

Let me put it like this. Las Vegas only cares about Lake mead drying up BECAUSE it effects the BOAT rental people. They don't CARE is OUR water is drinkable. (Yeah. Vegas has BLACK MOLD too!)

 

i got the latest issue of hightimes... and well im goin to vegas in dec as i already stated.... and they had an article on vegas weed... and what hotel do they take a picture of for the article... the one im staying at.... the Sahara.... hopefully i'll have no problem findin bud there.... im gonna be there for a week... black mold... that doesnt sound good

 

i stayed at the sahara when i was in vegas, its not bad, but i've also heard that there are better places to stay... ahhh... gotta love nevada, I'm goin to reno for college in the fall, cant wait. I've also heard that its mear impossible to get weed in that city... thats the only downside.
