Lets talk Japanese Tattoos. I would really like to get a jump start on a sleeve when I get the money but I don't know alot. I have heard people talk about old and new school japanese tattoos. Anybody have any insight or info??
hi, The old japanese style work is really the flat sort(still very good)the "new school" type stuff is more 3d and colorful(sorta cartoonish) you see alot of the recent koi fish designs in the new school style nowadays. I am a tattoo artist and Im working on a newschool japanese leg peice on a guy now, its a skull spitting out a waterfall that a koi is swimming up and eventuall flows onto his foot where there is a lotus flower(ill post a pic when done). If you need any help or some designs let me know and id be glad to help ya out. Heres my msn Joey0420@hotmail.com Joey
Either or velvet a little history lesson on symbolism would be great but anything you know about the artwork is cool to Hey thanks ryver. So essentially old school is looking more like old japanese watercolour art huh?? and the new school embraces a more complex style?? cool.
