One of the many pieces of tragic viewing that makes me glad I don't have a TV at uni! Give it a few more months and it'll soon be time for 'I want to revive a failing career and appease my vanity, get me out of here'....

Whilst your impression of a stereotypical old hippy is endearing, Salstocks usually equate to one of 2 things:

    1. A drunken/drugged up partay of mischivous pranks and tomfoolery - where everyones bouncing off the walls with energy.

    2. Again a drunken/drugged up partay, but where everyone spins out to old episodes of 'cyderdelic' and mortal kombat.

    ***Occaisonally***

    3. Where 2 people go off to watch big brother whilst, one member of the party (Alex - for ur reference sal) decides to insult everyone at least 4 times each, before trying the Iago2 patented paedophile grooming activity which results in him getting peed off and very loud...

Overall I LOVE SALSTOCK - is there gonna be a 2005?

Hah, it gives me an excuse to go to Glasgow! I'm there til Wednesday. Ooh, and then Huddersfield! Wheeee! No tv for me then *sigh of relief*

(I found myself two miles away from Ponte the other day; nearly paid a visit, then we realised we were running low on petrol and headed home. I didn't realise it's only ten minutes down the road!)

Organisers have confirmed that there will be a Salstock 2005, my parents are going away for 2 weeks in the summer. There are strong rumours that Taz will be in the lineup, Chris and Danny's girlfriend are also invited to attend. Festival organisers are also said to be trying to book Steve if they can get him down from Lincoln. This year will be the first Salstock to have police invited on the site to curb the rise in Big Brother watching, which has been reclassified as class A in light of heavy abuse at last year's festival. Anyone caught watching it will be subject to a full cavity search and instant bone fest....

I liked the original concept... which was based around ordinary people... now it seems to be the televisual equivalent of a travelling freakshow... let's get the weirdoes in to push up the ratings...

I will be getting a life this summer...

I absolutely agree. The first show was interesting, they had very real people who had no idea that the show was going to be such a success, and neither did Channel 4. Now they're catering for the Sun reader audience and frankly it's just tasteless, uninteresting and void of any intelligence whatsoever.

They've certainly got the viewing figures but then so has Eastenders and Coronation St. Surely that means they don't have to sink so low to provide entertainment? People will watch anything so why manipulate it so much? Grrrr, it pisses me off! :$

ALL the the contestants are complete nutters from anthony acting like he was audtioning for the roayl variety performance to that 'white wich' being completly into herself and thinking she has been abducted a multitude of times.. i never laughed so much since well i can't remember. The chap who was f-ing and blinding in his audition tape is going to be taken down a peg or two i hope..because he says what is on his mind and is not afraid of expressing his opinions or sharing his thoughts about the peons that he is sharing the house with (his words prety much).. In other words he is a complete nob... That nut job lesbian 'told it like it is' the other year that was realy funny when instead of people apreciating her rabid anti war blah blah blahs and the like..they voted her out prety fast hahahaha brilliant...She turned out to be a realy nice person in reality actualy.

or at least use it to wake them up in the morning. 1/3 of MTV germanys revenue comes from adverts from the 'crazy frog' , unintresting information i admit.
