that makes me want to cry... the injustice of the world is so immense, it makes me wonder what the point is sometimes to all of this crap. I wish death upon the prosecution. Even if it really was hers, I don't believe any law should constitute that long of a prison term. It just goes to show, the world is an unjust, cruel place where the high in power shun and crush the less fortunate...

My heart goes out to you, Schapelle Corby....

Sometime I hate this world. Has anyone seen the movie Brokedown Palace? Its the exact same story. My uncle directed the film and hes always been convinced that Indonesian laws are that harsh, now I beleive him.

This is a sad sad day.

ummm.... first of all, going 'slumming' in third world countries for the week is not my idea of fun, especially if you can get executed for smoking some weed.... plus you got all the terrorist attacks, military juntas, seperatists, and all that.
    Bottom line, fuck indonesia.

You know it is very harsh that she got that long sentence, but indonesia and the other southeast asia countries are some of the safest in the world due to their extremely hardcore laws.

 safe....what from? stoned hippies? plenty of them despite the laws, plenty of stoned South East Asians too...as far as I can see you are safe as long as you don't get caughtwith something, whether it is yours or not..much like anywhere else except the penalty for drug dealing is a lot more extreme in such countries than in western ones. I am sure I have read or heard good things about decriminalisation experiments around the world and how this actually can have a wider effect on the "safety" of people in those places? A bit of clash of cultures, a bit of hypocirsy...who knows...

    :(

My mom is from Bali. She tells me about a lot of the shit she's seen there. There's people still over in prisons there that dodged the draft in Vietnam. They don't feed them anything but rice, water, roaches... etc. Basically, you get into a prison there it's tough shit because you're probably going to starve to death and get burned by cigars and shit.

    no, no it really isn't.
JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- Two bombs exploded in a crowded market in the eastern Indonesian town of Tentena on Saturday morning, killing at least 20 people and wounding another 53, police and government officials said.
