I got a new strat

OOO...pretty... i dont think i've seen em in that color before, but i dont keep up much on it unless its in the Musician's Friend mag

 

It's a 1996 Fender Bonnie Raitt Stratocaster. Desert Sunset has been offered on one and only one guitar in Fender's history: the Bonnie Raitt Strat. The Custom Shop released a 200 count limited edition model Bonnie Raitt Strat. She's also the only woman who has ever gotten a signature series from Fender.

It looks beautiful, and i'm not even much of a strat man. i love the sound of strats, but I can't stand the necks. They feel unconfortable whenever I play them, but believe me, wit ha guitar that looks that good (and probably sounds good too) I'd be happy to put up with that sort of discomfort!

For some reason, I've always been able to find a way to come up with cash. Don't know if that's the Capricorn in me or what, but people I know are always like "how do you come up with money so easily"... ebay, landscaping, finding shit at flea markets and auctions and reselling it, ghostwriting, little odd jobs, knowing people, busking here and there, rolling change, and just being at the right place at the right time. My next project... add a dummy coil to the pickguard of this strat, TBX +25db boost, LSR Roller Nut, graphtech saddles, and a master tone.
