has anyone seen the movie? i saw it at the cinema ages ago and i really loved it, it had a really great gothic feel to it and pretty costumes. I'm not sure it would be so good on the small screen but in the cinema i thought it looked amazing and some of the songs were really moving.. am i the only one who liked it or did anyone else?

I loved it :) I saw it in the theatre and then my brother bought it so I watched it here at home the other day. Just as good at home! I thought they did a really good job of both sticking to the original story enough, but also making enough little changes that it was just a little different. And I know the guy who played the Phantom was getting a lot of smack for not being an "opera" style singer, but I thought having a rock singer gave the Phantom a little more edge - he had more real anger, real passion in his voice. I thought it was a lovely change.
