This is in no way supposed to be a political thread. Please do not turn this into a politically driven thread. I just got done smoking a few bowls and started to watch Band of Brothers. This got me thinking about Iraq and I began to realize how bad it must suck being over there. I mean right now it is 9:44 pm where I am, that means it is probably around 8-10 am there. So as I am sitting on my ass, getting high and watching tv, there are guys my age getting shot at and probably dying in Iraq. It's pretty unsettling thinking about that for a little while.
Yeah man, war is a sad, unsetteling thing. it really depresses me that the people in change sit on their fat asses gaining money through this shit while our soldiers and innocent civilians die...
how is this not supposed to be a political thread? youve already made it anti-war. the only way to make it not politcal is for no one to respond.

hussein has not been linked to any terrorist groups tho, and i dont think he will be. I think bush is sacrificing human lives just to make his daddy impressed

well then maybe bush should say that hes fighting to free the people of Iraq from suddam, not because he thinks that saddam is link to al queda. thats why troops were sent over there, for that supposed link. but even if there was a link, the americans cant go in there torturing prisoners and citizens. two wrongs dont make a right im pretty sure this exactsame post is in the america attacks forum too

Bush and Blaire are assholes fact! Hussein and Bin Laden are terrorists who need to be stopped fact! Those soliders out there risking there lives and having to kill other ppl do not deserve to come home only to be told by some little prick that the war theyr fighting is pointless. they dont have a say theyr job is to protect us not to question why they have to fight. Remember soldiers are just normal ppl too. Think really hard about this. Could you kill someone under any circumstances whatso ever and still not lose any sleep over it. Imagine going to sleep every night and seeing that enemy soldiers face popping into your head. Seeing the blood drip from his lifeless body knowing that you ended this persons life. Its not a nice thought at all. So come on ppl stop protesting against the war and start supporting the troops after all they need our support to come back sane. And like Pink Floyd sung "Bring The Boys Back Home" P.s Saddam couldve been stopped in the first gulf war the troops where outside bahgdad (sp?) and from what ive been told it was so-called "Political Reasons" that stopped them from going in. I dont know what these reasons where however I could also be wrong.
where do you get this notion that the anti-war people don't support the troops? i fully support the troops, but that doesn't mean i have to always supoort the policies of the government.
i never said i dont support the troops, its not their fault that they are tho and im sure for most of them its not their choice either. i dont think they planned on going to war when they enlisted. i am just against the reasons for the war
I got that view from a protester who sent me an email on faceparty but when i thought about it i change my opinion that not all protesters dont support the troops so what im sayin is to the ones that dont support the troops coz it annoys me when these stupid little kids start hittin me with "oh they shouldnt be over there fightin this stupid war anyway so fuck them" i can understand how the familys of these ppl feel coz i know what it was like i used to have to say my "could-be-last goodbye" to my dad several times as a kid when he got shipped over to ireland where theres a high possibilty he'll die and it really does suck so these troops and there familys need all the support ppl have to give.
i got what you meant. i know what the "could-be-last-goodbye" feeling is like. i know a bunch of newly commissioned 2nd Lt. who are probably going to be going to fight within a year, so its tough.
