well I have heard a lot more from Harrison than of Shankar, and what I have heard from Shankar, I think he kicks ass, but of the music I have heard from Harrison I like him better. Do you think you can share any more of Shankar's work and maybe later I may think otherwise
Well, George was a great songwriter and musician, don't get me wrong, but he was definitely not as skilled with the sitar as Ravi Shankar. The legend goes that Shankar spent two years just learning how to hold the instrument and practiced twelve hours a day for seven years to learn to play it. The only Shankar I have is what seems to be a rather rare LP called Six Ragas. I've downloaded some other ragas in the past, though, but I don't have them anymore. Try looking on Soulseek or some other file sharing program for some of Ravi Shankar's recordings.
