after posting my american list here is my favourite 50 uk psych albums, one album by each band. admittedly i dont have a couple of these but have heard tracks from them and want them! ...now ill wait for the "thats not psychedelic" arguments to start...i found this list harder coz most of the good english stuff comes on singles not albums...but if youve got both rubble boxed sets then youve got that stuff covered... yet another great list but where is the beatles yellow submarine songtrack...that is a great compilation with pretty much my more favorite beatles songs...but again this isnt my list, but just putting my opinion, it is still a good list though
Seems like a very solid list to me. How's that album? I only have In the Land of Grey and Pink, and I like it. If you've heard their later work, how does their earlier work compare? Ugh, this is the only Yardbirds album I've never been able to find. I don't know how it can be this rare... [/size]
that first caravan is more psychedelic than In the land of... I much prefer it myself in fact, great album, I reckon you'd enjoy it Lucifer Sam
well land of grey and pink is very psychedelic but in a different way. its more musically advanced i guess than the hippy pop of caravan's first album. their first album is more 60s i guess. the bee gees first album is good. now i know the bee gees are very uncool. but if you like the moody blues then you wqould like the 60s bee gees too. im actually thinking that instead of the idle race album on the list i would rather exchange it for tyrannousourus rex - prophets seers and sages, the angels of the ages. coz i love marc bolan and cant beleive i left him out!
