the bill to ban gays from adopting/fostering in Texas is D.O.A.

the bill here in Texas to prevent gays from adopting/fostering children is dead in the final day of this term and won't be back on the agenda. however this "victory" is clouded by the other bill that will let Texas NOT recognize gay marriage. This bill could be brought to the voters in Texas in 2006.

Why? Just explain why? Studies have proven that gay parents are just as good as straight parents and the resulting sexual orientation of the children has no relation to the sexual orientation of the parents.
