Sometimes, I do it, but not often. I usually only sleep in my contacts if I'm too lazy to take them out - and sometimes, I do feel really, really lazy at night.
I wear glasses but all my friends who have contacts and my relatives that wear them keep them in over night often. They say it depends on how they feel the night before. They also make sure that they take em out at least every other day so your eyes can breath better.
i dont wear contacts anymore... i cant handle them. but when i did wear them, i feel asleep with them on a couple of times and it was a bitch! my eyes would feel stuck shut when i woke up!
The only time I sleep with my contacts in is if I am taking a short nap or I pass out drunk. A few nights ago I got pretty drunk and ended up falling asleep with my contacts in. When I woke up later on that morning my eyes were all dried out and everything was cloudy looking. Sleeping with your contacts in is not good for your eyes at all, so you should avoid it at all costs.
i don't wear contacts anymore because i can't afford them, but when i wore them i'd occaisionally fall asleep in them & i hated the way it felt when i woke up. they'd also hurt like hell when i'd been crying a lot. can you sleep with the disposable contacts? when i had contacts, the disposables were still quite new & expensive. i just had regular daily wear. this was years ago.
I am sure it's probably warned against. However, there are contacts which have been around for a few years now that can be worn overnight, up to a month's time, without being removed. I believe the contacts are made with a certain material that permits oxygen to pass through them, hence, allowing your eyes to, in a sense, breathe.
My daughter is constantly wearing her contacts to bed. I am against it, but she usually will say "i promise to take em out" and she doesnt. I have taken a nap in them before, and have slept in them twice that I can remember. lol.....so sucks when I go out of town and forget my glasses!! I hate the feeling of the "dry eyes" in the am when I had slept in them all night. I have the disposable kind, the daily wear ones. and the dr. did advise not to sleep in them. I think the newer ones that you can wear all night are on the expensive side ( at least in my budget )
When I wore contacts, I did a couple times and then thought better of it. I had lasik surgery a few years ago so I don't have to worry about it now!
my only contacts (other then wifie) are people on the net (and occasional stray ferral creatures that say hi to me) contacts are too expensive for one thing but if i had them arn't they kind of small. i mean wouldn't it be kind of uncomfortable to have to shrink yourself down tiney enough to curl up in them? (being able to shrink myself down to the size of a small cat or a ferret might be kind of cool though) =^^= .../\...
I usually sleep in mine, but I have "day & night" brand contacts. They're designed for lazy people like me who forget to take their contacts out at night. You can wear them for a month straight with removing them, but I usually take them out every few days and soak them in cleanser so they last longer.
