You should go see if you have endometriosis.. I struggled ever since I was I menstrated with female problems that basically ruin your life cause of the bleeding, pain, just everything. took 9 docs till one finally did a laparscopy(sp) to see if I had endo.. it was so bad i had to go to a specialist to have it laser it cause it was all over my one remaining ovary, fallopean(sp) and everywhere... So I would have it checked out if I were you and make sure none of the doctors make ya feel like you are crazy cause thats what they love to do Yep I am envious of men for that one and only fact..must be nice to have a set of hairy ones, the freedom of it all
The sea pearls are natural sponges and they are a reusable alternative to conventional tampons. Check the following link for more info Lunapads (the site also features other reusable menstruation products) For your period pain check the link I posted in the Natural menstrual-period pain relief thread. For your bad mood before/during your period I recommend to drink yarrow tea and take arctic root (available as pills). Hope that helps. Don't shoot me
yeah, it may sound insane, but I actually do enjoy it..maybe because I like the fact that I'm being cleansed and also the fact that I am interested in medicinal herbs, so when I'm cramping, I get the chance to actually experiment and understand different ways plants can affect us...I can't say that I don't get tired of the pain sometimes, but ... I guess I would rather dwell on ways of healing that or lessening what I don't like about it. that's all..it doesn't sound too insane to me..
My mom had that. She had it like 2 times a month. She said it hurt so bad that she had gray cramps. She started to almost pass out. Everyone said that they all had cramps when they had it too and that she should stop complaning. No one ever said they were sorry for being rude when she found out what it was. I was only like 4 at that time. She went through a lot of docters untill a nice docter ( a woman by the way) said that she was the strongest woman she ever met. The surgery went bad. They still wanted her to pay even though they did a bad job. My mom is a realy strong cool person and I love her very much. She always says me and my sister were the only thing that kept her going. We never did pay those jerks.
I see where you're coming from... but it takes a lot of patience to see it the way you do! i envy that kind of patience, lol.
Hmm, yeah....I talked to this dental assistant once while I was waiting in the room for the dentist...and she had told me that she had endo, and that it can in fact spread into your intestines as well....causing painful bowel movements and the whole bit. To find a good doctor around here is damn near impossible. *sigh* too many dr's get into medicine for the wrong reason....money.
Why would I shoot you, you've helped...thanks, I'm definitely going to try your suggestions... Would arctic root be found in herbs or what? Just want to know where I should be looking for it.
well for me its not really a problem having my period, but that sponge thing idk about it. Like i am afraid to try things like that only becuz i dont want it to like leak or anything, that would just embaress the hell out of me. I mean does it work like a tampon? or somehting or a pad idk what it is haha. But i do have a quesiton, what did people do like back in the day, im talkin about like 1800s. I mean im sure they didnt just sit around or use a leaf, how did they not leak? I personally dont care about my period only becuz its not bad for me, its just annoying sometimes and i get all parenoid haha. i feel bad for people who have real bad cramps. lol
They were sewing their own pads. Kind of like the washable ones that are available today. I am fine with washable pads. (I just don't use pads at all) But anything that goes in there, should be extremely clean, and that is just a feeling, that a sponge can not offer me. But I keep the envirnoment clean in other ways: I use ecological produced electricity, and I don't have a car, I ride my bike where ever I go. And recycling is a must in germany, you basically can't get around it.
Hehe, when I was replying to your previous post you were bleeding and wanted to kill somebody, that's why I wrote "don't shoot me", nothing serious Here in Sweden you can buy Arctic Root in pill form. I would ask either in healthfoodshops or try to order them in the pharmacy. If you can't get Arctic Root try Ginseng. The way these roots work for PMS is, that they are bringing your "yin-yang" energies in balance. Before/during menstruation women get too "yin" and Arctic Root as well as Ginseng is very "yang" in it's quality, so they bring you back in balance and like that give relief from the common stress symptoms.
reuseable sanitary anything is not a nice thought. However, you can help in different ways. There are thousands of women who dispose of their tampons/towels down the toilet. THIS IS BAD!!! Not only are we damaging the environment by doing so, but we are harming children and animals. It's not very nice seeing a sanitary towel float past your kid whilst your having a day at the beach is it? Use the bins provided in public and have a bin in your bathroom at home and let it all get disposed of properly.
I checked out the site for the lunapads and sponges, and they actually don't look too bad... I think I'm going to give them a shot and we'll see how it goes... One more question: Is there still a possibility of TSS using the sponges? That's one thing that has ALWAYS worried me about using regular tampons... If these sponges are safer, I could care less how they feel or anything else ...if it reduces my chances for getting sick, plus helps out the environment, then I'm all for it. How do the luna pads attach to your undergarnements? Do you pin them, or what? I couldn't find where it said how.... Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this kind of stuff!
