This is also an agnostic perspective.

you like to redefine your belief in many ways dont you?

If only religion wasnt the biggest source of unnatural death in history, then the ideas of truth and fundamental spirituality can be adressed mroe openly and discussed in the real public forum, wihtout the fear of being persecuted, laughed at, and shot

This begs the question, Occam, what is your God exactly. What is a Being whom is impersonal and perhaps apathetic about the beliefs of Occam, a creation that, perhaps is just another negligible variant permutation among the potential trillions of others-- to YOU?

Another passing thought or concept of no significant consequence? Shall your God even be worth mention until he hath shown himself? I think, by your description of God, He would verily agree.

What is the difference between my lack of God, and your potential existence of God?
In either case, God is moot.

    Thumontico.
    Wellmet.
    Thankyou for the considered reply.

Occam has no god. [in the religious sense]
Descriptions of god proposed by humanity exist
    to occam as fiction only.
Zues and Odin sit beside Yahweh and Krishna in total equality.
All are or were believed by humans to exist.

So if 'god' is not like religion claims...what is it.?
    Occam has NO IDEA..whatsoever.
BUT...Reality shows distinct rational signs of being directed
through the objective laws, both known and yet to be revealed.

Does such a 'direction' qualify as 'god'?
    Occam thinks so..
And such a direction no way requires a 'single entity'

So..Occam sees indicative evidence of direction.
This supports the concept of a being/s that directs.
    Very dry and emotionless...no?

    EXACTLY.

What has emotion to do with understanding what IS
    [existant reality]?

    Occam

And yes..Functionally in occams life. God is moot.
Bar the braying of the faithfull.

But occam finds all maters to do with reality very interesting.
His path is to be a total generalist.. If you understand enough
about the parts. Maybe the titanic machine we are embedded in will
    be revealed more clearly..
That is a purpose he gives himself.

Maybe this is why we exist.. to bring purpose to a garden.

so your "god" is essentially everything that is unknown... and that is a lot.
    plus the direction of reality.
and the more the unknown becomes the known, the more you know about god.
and the term "god" is really unneccessary.

i think that most people can't see that it's ENOUGH to just "worship" life itself, forget about elaborate stories and magnificent gods and their powers. i think that people of western culture in particular are so bombarded with flashing lights and hollywood hugeness that the extremely simple fact that the atom in the dirt beneath your feet is the same as that in your feet, and the electrons swinging from one to the other observe no difference. and it's very difficult to rid oneself of the constant conception of difference and "i'm better than everything outside of ME" state, which calls then for a higher "god" to further emphasize the difference between you and him, and it never seems to end.

it seems that if we were ever really aware of how much we are of everything else, it would be too much for our feeble little egotistical minds to handle. (very much including me!! haha)
