I don't know if they were worse than last year, cause I wasn't there last year... but I didn't have any probs there. They did walk through the campsite a few times, but I didn't see them intruding into anyones tent or actual camp area. I did here there were some issues with vendors selling glass, but according to one vendor, they were specifically told not too, and tried anyway. There wasn't a shakedown area, people were very much on the dl with their wares in the camping area. I go to festivals for the music, so my view may be different than others. The music was fantastic, if you're into Keller, you missed a couple stellar sets. TLG was really good on friday, and the vibe was great. You weren't supposed to have glass bottles in the main stage area, but as you were walking into the main stage, they were giving out cups so you could pour your beer in instead of trying to chug it or whatever. I thought that was a great act of kindness... It was a very well run festival, the cops did make their presence known though. It's not like anyone who pays any attention didn't know this ahead of time though, and if you didn't they reminded you at the gate also...it was not a surprise.
I heard they were walking dogs through the crowds at the stages??? But after last year I said I wasnt goin back. You pay good money to go see chill music and do just that chill, not have pigs hassle you all weekend!
It wasn't bad this year, everyone is complaining about it, at the beginning they had a big presence, but I rarely saw them after friday night, my friends van got searched, but it was all good, I didn't see them in the crowds, and they didnt keep much from circulating as far as my experience went, but I'm sure they did do some fucked up stuff, thats spotsylvania for you though, as long as you were keepin an eye out it was cool.
