i have a problem plz help!

Ok, I have decided to turn goth, but still be hippy too, how can i cross the twoin the way i dress and such! advice on that would be great! and im redoing my room, its gonna be miedevil gothic kinda stuff, ne suggestions on some cool inexpensive stuff i could do? i want it to look like a castle, big floor curtains canopy and all, but id like ne col suggestions, construction starts in a week! thanx guyz!

 

What do you like? Just add a little of both worlds to make it your own. It doesn't neccessarily have to be a specific look, just blend your two interests and go from there.

 

keep your hippie morals, dress how you want, dont care what people think. Thats what i do and apperantly i am "goth".

 

I have some questions. What are you like now? I only ask because I'm curious about you wanting to be goth now. What does goth mean to you? (it tends to be different for everybody).

Have your interests changed? Or is it mainly the clothing that you are into, gothwise?

 

Deffenalty not. I am still ahippy, and love to dress it as well, but i was goth before i became a hippy, and it's starting to leak back into my style. but, at heart, ai am a hippy, only a little goth is there. goth to me is jsut being kinda dark and mysterious, which iam, im not a light cheery person, but a total hippy at herat. i love to wear the hippy stuff cause its loose and flowing and really pretty, but im jsut not sure how to cross goth and hippy.

 

LOL! I just wear whatever I wanna wear. I've never gone for a particular look intentionally. I do what I want and leave it up to others to define what it is.

 

Just wear what you LIKE. If that means flowy skirts in pastel colors one day and all black with heavy makeup and a pale face the next day then do that.......nobody is just ONE thing and who you are isn't determined by what you wear.

 

I dunno... all goth seems to be to be is a ton of black to go with a ton of teen angst, usually on the dark and angry side, all fatalistic.

 

hmm well, like i said, im not really into all the way goth attitude, but i love that style, like drumminmama said, i like the gothic renedsiance style, balcks and reds and deep colres, with corsets and long hair. i think ill just mix em up cause i have alot of both in me, i need tostop caring wat lable i am being labled and dress how i want, if they wanna lable ma a angst driven goth or a nasty hippy, they can , becasue only i know who and wat i truly am, and really thats all that matters, so, i am going to embrace both worlds, shopping at hippy shops and making my own, and then shopping at hot topic, its my style, no one elsese! thank u guyz! peace love music----

 

Exactly!! Worry about more important stuff. There will always be people that judge you no matter what you do or how yah dress so don't sweat it.

 

For a conscious being, to exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. It's just part of a natural cycle. Dress however you feel like dressing, change, experiment, it's all a part of getting to know what you like and what you don't like.

For the room maybe some deeper colors like burgundy, hunter, or eggplant. Accents in copper (which is really cheap and all over dollar and thrift stores), silver, and gold. For a canopy simplicity 4532.

 

well, how bout this? all that black makeup you'll wear - go to a healthfood store and purchase organic, non animal tested makeup! cause you HAVE to wear makeup, right?
hah, i don't know, i'm sort of kidding around, but it's true about the makeup. i bought some all natural eyeliner for my interviews and it's nice. they sell red lipstick too.
same with your goth clothes - buy some funky peasant blouses in black organic linen...

 

they sell organic makeup??? i dint know that! u mean, they test that stuff on animals? thatsin human! the things they do to poor animals! jsut because they cant speak to us or comunicate well with us, dosnt mean there no living and have feelings and emotions too! u c this is y im a vegetairan and an animal ctivist! grrr, well, i might just tr that! and the peasent top ting is a good idea!

 

how does one become goth? or become hippy? That sounds like alot of work to me. Just follow your heart. You don't need our answers, they are already within you. Let who are you are flow out into all you do.

but, why dont you model yourself on some cool hippie goths, like Nico from the Velvet Underground, or The girls from Frank Zappas GTO's, or Stevie Nicks....
